*Thank you to an old and dear friend for John Oliver asks: How is This Still a Thing, about Daylight Savings Time. Turns out I knew farmers hated it, because my grandparents were farmers and hated it. While they didn’t have cows, my grandmother grew up with them, and said, bluntly, “Cows don’t care what it says on the clock. You still have to milk them at the same time.”
DST exists because if it didn't, the sun would rise at 3:30 in the morning. And that would suck.
One of the best summers I ever spent was in Michigan, where there was still a glow in the sky at 10pm. If I had a choice, it'd be DST all year-round. Bleep the kids who have to wake up for school in the dark. I want to sleep in.
