Old Wives’ Tales
For centuries the patriarchy mocked old wives’ tales. So it pleased me when I heard from Kaiser today that if my eye discharge was not yellow or green, it was allergies. A half-century ago, my mom (a wife, admittedly not that old) told me if your mucus was white, you didn’t have a cold. Yeah Team Mom.
