By Paul E. Schindler, Jr.
The government and good sense had rules,
Which we followed because we aren’t fools.
We limited ourselves to five plus you,
And found the meal easier to do.
This was your chance to eat turkey and pie,
Food you were totally uninterested by.
But there was a lesson we took to the bank
The size of the crowd doesn’t affect the thanks.
A larger group would noisier be.
Happier? Not so as we could see.
Family together is clearly the best,
Some other year you’ll see all the rest.
