By Paul E. Schindler, Jr.
I love you.
Three words in English,
Two words in Spanish and Italian.
Why do I need to say them?
I profess, obsess and confess,
To move those words,
From inside me to inside you.
Do I impose?
Perhaps, I suppose.
The words, I see,
Are inside me.
I simply wish to
Place them inside you.
Do you care?
Are they already there?
I must say them every day,
It seems to me the only way.
I love repetition.
You hate repetition.
You have told me so.
Repetitively.
Yet, to me you grant,
Permission to repeat
My lovers rant.
Thank you.
