By Paul E. Schindler, Jr.
When I contribute to your joy
It is not a scheme or a ploy.
I’m doing what comes naturally,
Because of what’s inside of me
I don’t think you’re surprised to find,
Your happiness is on my mind.
I always use my wit and guile
To try and bring a great big smile.
When I succeed it makes me happy,
Even if you think I’m sappy.
I love to bring some joy to you;
No one ever forced me to,
It’s just a thing I chose to do.
And you contribute to mine,
All the time.
