Me: Straighten up as you approach.
You: “I feel like an admiral.”
You are an admiral.
You are the admiral of my ardor.
You are the captain of my incarnation.
Straighten up.
Make sure my uniform is ship-shape.
Salute smartly.
Two out of three:
Not bad.
Unlike in the military,
it IS the thought that counts.
Dress for the job you want,
Not the job you have.
In a similar vein,
dress as you wish to be remembered,
not as you are likely to be remembered.
The same goes for posture.
