Dick Sandler

It was two years ago today, June 4, 2007, that I received a phone call from my brother, Nathan, telling me that Norm had been found dead in his apartment that morning. Within a matter of a few hours, I was in DC, trying to make sense of it. I am not sure that I ever have or ever will make sense of Norm's death. I have come to terms with it, but that does not stop me from thinking about him and missing him every day of my life. I am within two weeks of the very age (to the day) that Norm was when he died. It gives one pause. Today, I pause to remember Norm in a little different way from every other day before now.
